Unfortunately, some of our clients require renovation of their property not for the luxury upgrade or extension of living space, but rather as a necessity or critical circumstance. This home owner approached us to give them a quote to finish a property after a fire damage. It was already gutted to studs and after they received finances from insurance, we were ready to start work. The plan was relatively simple – to finish 3 apartment units (one per floor), install all new ducting, electrical, water and provide fire separation for all apartments and common area space (stairs and laundry). Besides complete interior redo, ALBO Renovations needed to replace all windows, roof and front porch.

There was nothing we haven done before, and from beginning we only head to please client with finishing/timeline and city with completing inspection at all required stages. Everything was ligning up better than we could have expected. The neighbours were very nice and understanding, inspector was great and someone we have seen on jobsites many times, clients very direct in material selection and details. The only issue we had on this project was underground drain that needed to be dug out and redone with installation of back water valve.

There is nothing better for home renovation company than to see a happy client. In all honesty the job was finished so fast, we barely spoke to the owners. Our team proposed finishing material and with one tweak everything was purchased for installation. This job was more technical than luxury finish, as you would expect for apartment units, but we managed to add details that were stylish and modern. Property was renovated faster than predicted and now being rented to families in Bloor East area with walking distant to parks and literally 100 meters to subway station, grocery stores and Bloor restaurants/bars.
