Design and Build

For this Renforth project in central Etobicoke, the goal was to design and build a contemporary custom home that would stand out while staying warm and welcoming. The exterior concept was built around clean geometric lines and a flat roofline, with smooth white stucco siding contrasted by black aluminum window profiles and warm natural wood accent paneling around the entrance, garage and second-floor balcony alcove. Inside, we planned a bright, open main floor with wide-plank hardwood, floating stairs with black metal railings, a linear fireplace feature wall, and a white kitchen with a waterfall island and wood accents to tie the palette together.

Like most new builds in established Etobicoke neighbourhoods, this project came with the usual mix of surprises and coordination work — from permits and inspections to sequencing trades so the open-concept structure, large window openings and custom stair could all come together on schedule. Careful planning of the structural steel and window packages kept the clean lines of the design intact without compromising the open main floor.

The finished home is a true modern contemporary build — crisp white stucco and black-framed glass on the outside, and a light-filled open interior with hardwood floors, a statement staircase, linear fireplace and a sleek white kitchen at its heart. Spa-like bathrooms with a freestanding tub and glass shower complete the package. It is another example of how a thoughtfully designed custom home can elevate its street while giving the owners a space tailored exactly to their lifestyle.
