Complete Rebuild with Addition

Eglinton and Bayview — what a great area to work in. It has so much potential, with new homes popping up on every corner, bringing the value of the neighbourhood up every year. This is one of the most desired places in Toronto, and this project is something we wanted to be a part of from the very beginning. Our team fell in love with the ideas and designs provided by the clients. Their vision was to transform an older, small two storey home into a full size three storey with an open-to-above main floor area and custom panelling with modern touches throughout the house.

As with many other constructions in this area, our main problem was the space to work with. Having less than 2 feet on one side and between 3 and 4 feet on the other is not ideal for constructing such a complicated house, with mainly steel beams and posts for support. All demolition, cleaning, delivery of materials and, obviously, construction was done by hand with precision and consideration for the neighbours. Thankfully, the next door homeowners were very understanding and pleasant to deal with.

This is one of our best projects in terms of design, complexity and perfection in finishing details. This house has almost every wall finished with tiles or wall panels. The amount of work and attention to final details by the ALBO team is something to be proud of.
